In honor of her latest book, Wallbanger, my friend Alice Clayton has been hosting a really fun holiday event, Twelve Days of Wallbanger. It’s basically been eleven days of her throwing fun giveaways all over the internet featuring all her favorite Wallbanger-esque Christmas must-haves. And, since Wallbanger prides itself on good sex, good booze and good food…well, let’s just say it’s been a good week.
Which brings us to today.
When Alice asked me if I wanted to host the final day of Wallbanger giveaways, I was like, um I just gave away a moose head, I’m not really sure how we can compete with that?
Challenge accepted.

This is a shiny brand new, fully loaded, sex red Kitchenaid Mixer. And if you’ve read Wallbanger, you obviously know, if you bake it (zucchini bread), he will come (repeatedly).
On the 12th Day of Wallbanger my Alice gave to me… the best way to make Simon appear for real!
Here we are chickens, the last day of #12daysofWallbanger. It’s been so much fun sharing all these great giveaways with you, and there was no way we were gonna end this without giving away the big mother prize of ’em all. That’s right, it’s a KitchenAid Mixer. Wallbanger leading lady, Caroline, is in love with her mixer, and it made Simon fall in love with her. I’m in love with all of you, so what better way to share the love than to give you your very own Mixer of Love.
I can’t say enough good things about my KitchenAid Mixer, it got me through my 72 hour baking marathon last weekend and it will get me through every PMS moment to come in the forseeable future. And since my girl Brittany here is part of my forseeable future, there was no one else on the planet I could think of to anchor this amazing giveaway. Unless Robert Pattinson was available. Then Brittany knows I would drop her like a hot potato, but with her blessing.
So much exciting news to share with you in the new year, stay tuned because this ride is about to go bonkers.
Happy Holidays to you and yours
Alice
xoxo
Ok, this puppy is going into the mail first thing in the morning, and here’s how you make sure it gets delivered to your doorstep: Tell me what you plan to do with your KitchenAid Mixer. Want more chances to win? Comment with even more suggestions, and if you tweet or Facebook this contest, hell leave that in a separate comment, as well! The more comments, the more chances to win, that’s just basic math.
This contest runs until tonight, Saturday, December 22nd 2012, at 11:59pm EST. You may enter as many times as you wish, just make sure to include your valid email address with each entry. One (1) winner will be randomly selected, and the prize awarded upon confirmation of winning within 24 hours.
Still looking for that last minute Christmas present? Considering giving the gift of hysterical orgasm. You can easily gift Wallbanger or Alice’s other addictive novels The Unidentified Redhead and The Redhead Revealed to your friends just by having their email!
I would give this to the cook in my family, my husband. Let me tell you, he lusts after this thing so hard, let’s get the attention back to me!! I can guarantee that if I gave him this……. well, we’d both begetting a lot of use ;)
This sex red mixer? She belongs with me because for once I would own a piece of baking equipment that did not once belong to my mom. Also, she’d totally groove on my baking while listening to ‘In These Shoes?’ because I tend to multi-task around the house–like continuing to wear my yoga pants after Bikram while breaking in a new pair of heels wearing socks to stretch them out. We’d make a combustible hot match!
Cookies!
Everything that Ina Garten shows on Food Network!
All those things I have been pinning on Pinterest!
Homemade bread!
Ohh….Lemon meringue pie would be my first treat!
I dont do twitter, but I do do pinterest – just pinned this one!
I just think it would be cool to have something called sex-red in my kitchen. :)
I will learn to bake zucchini bread and pumpkin bread!!
I would probably give it to my mom since she’s never had one,
OHMYGODBAKEALLTHETHINGS
I’ve really been wanting to make bread
And make all of Ina gartens fancy things without her judging me because I’m using a lowly handmixer
I would give this to my dad :)
I’d use it to make a huge batch of buckeyes. I miss Ohio!!
The red sex machine would be gifted to my significant other….we often cook together as foreplay! Kitchen sex rocks! What wouldn’t we Culinary Cajuns use this to prepare?!?
It’s red!! My blender is red, so is my toaster, my toaster oven, my salt & pepper mills & my Cuisinart Dutch oven too. Love red in my kitchen. This would fit right in! My daughter and I bake. It started for me as a coping mechanism for my stressful life. Then my girls got older and my middle one started helping. Now we do it together with a little hand mixer. It’s become a bonding experience. Her specialty is chocolate chip rugelach rugelach and mine banana bread. This mixer would kick things up a notch in our kitchen. We would love it.
I would bake bake bake. Gosh would this make my life easier AND match my kitchen!
I will make booze laden baked goods and bring them to work.
I will also take some amazingly hilarious photos with myself and this amazing machine.
Wallbanger was one of my favorite reads this year. It was funny as hell, SMEXY, angsty and one hell of a good read. It was my first book by Alice but I have since purchased the redhead series. I told all my friends. Everyone on the bus heard me LOLing so I had to explain to them too. I didn’t even like cats until Clive! Make sure Alice includes the zucchini bread recipe cause I gotta try it in Simon’s honor. Oh! The cookie recipe for the ones she was baking two days ago too. I never heard of Cava until Simon so of course I ran out and bought a bottle. Actually 4 bottles! Maybe I should do like a Julia & Julia thing except it would be Simon & Sandy!
I shared the link on my FB for the giveaway.
I tweeted about the giveaway.
I love its redness.
I plan to make tons of healthy new years resolution foods. Or cookies. Probably cookies….
I’d also really like to learn to make my own bread….
Does texting my friends about the giveaway count? I did that too! Me, in my red kitchen, with a glass of Cava in hand perusing Alice’s cookie recipes which she im hoping will share. Ina’s pasta recipes would be good too or her chocolate cake, or have you seen her coconut cake?! Since its Christmas we could make gingerbread men. I could go on and on and on. Friends & family on the other side of the kitchen island while I cook/bake is the best. Thank you Alice & Brittany for a chance at winning this dream machine!
How about a video ( if/when I win) a la Price is Right of my first masterpiece? I would do it! Though I am a messy baker and ill probably look more Jackie Gleason than Cake Boss. P
Hello.. pizza dough!
Hmmm…cream cheese monkey bread…
Bread. Lots of bread.
After I came to from passing out from excitement, I would bake until my ovens (yes you read that right, my house has 2 kitchens). Good ole chocolate chip cookies would be first though.
Remember that 9 1/2 weeks style scene in the book where the Simon & Caroline make a mess with the baking ingredients? Yea – hubby and I could certainly recreate it cause with that KitchenAid in my Casa something would always be cooking in my kitchen! :-)
How have I never seen this blog before?? Glad the universe corrected itself!
I have wanted this…in red, no less, for over ten years. But I am poor(damn kids), and so had to resign myself to simply petting them in Macy’s. I would make all the things. I bake every single day. I would make bread, noodles, cake, cuppity cakes, pie, and cookies in that thing. Plus things I’m sure I haven’t even imagined yet.
Pumpkin Monkey Bread Muffins from Baked Perfection
I am sensing a theme…
pretzel bread
I have now imagined more things. Like pizza dough and OMG you can get an ice cream maker attachment. ICE CREAM.
Bang & mix sounds good to me! Hubby and I could bang. Then I could whip up a batch of Momofuku Compost Cookies. Have you had those? They are so freaking good I could eat them until I puke! Brittany I gotta win this mixer!! It’s amazing, it’s perfect, it’s gotta be mine. Ok I’ll stop now. Gotta go make coquito (puerto Rican eggnog) and pastelillos (which are puff pastry filed with cream cheese and guava). Yuuuum. Thanks To the brilliantly funny Alice Clayton for the kitchen dream machine and her good buddy Brittany for hosting.
I would love to have this mixer! I would make homemade pasta with the mixer
It’s on my FB-twice!
