In honor of her latest book, Wallbanger, my friend Alice Clayton has been hosting a really fun holiday event, Twelve Days of Wallbanger. It’s basically been eleven days of her throwing fun giveaways all over the internet featuring all her favorite Wallbanger-esque Christmas must-haves. And, since Wallbanger prides itself on good sex, good booze and good food…well, let’s just say it’s been a good week.
Which brings us to today.

Here we are chickens, the last day of #12daysofWallbanger. It’s been so much fun sharing all these great giveaways with you, and there was no way we were gonna end this without giving away the big mother prize of ’em all. I can’t say enough good things about my KitchenAid Mixer, it got me through my 72 hour baking marathon last weekend and it will get me through every PMS moment to come in the forseeable future. I would give this to my mom. I have one and it seems crazy that my mom still doesn’t have one.
I would use it to make beautiful breads, delicious divinity, mounds of marshmallows, counters chockfull of cookies, marvelous meringues, creamy cheesecakes, and breathtaking butter.

What wouldn’t I do with a Kitchenaid, in a color that would match my kitchen perfectly?! First off, egg nog from scratch, Alton Brown’s recipe is amazing, but my arm hurts from holding my hand mixer for so long.
I’d love to make more bread from scratch, so that’d probably be second, kneading bothers my wrists.
I’d also love to make cookies for my In-Laws’ visit later this week. I’ve been drooling over a kitchenaid, just haven’t had the coin to buy one, so I’ve got a long list of things I want to try.

I’m thinking it would make cheesecake filling much easier. Actually these days i don’t have much time or energy to make much of anything but my boyfriend loves to cook when he’s home and feeds me when I’m on work breaks… so I’d be delighted to see what he’d come up with!

First I would use it to knead loaves of hot, steamy bread..
Then I would use the bread and eat a sandwich while baking some gooey sticky chocolate brownies.

I could make my beer bread and warm cheese dip! My husband doesn’t do zucchini bread but he likes the beer bread. Go figure!

I’d use that bad boy to bake some Better than Sex Brownies, serve them on a platter to my hubby wearing nothing but a smile and really, really warm socks. Oh, and maybe an apron… lord knows bad things can happen if you try to bake in the nude.

I have five kids. They eat a lot. I would bake and bake and bake.
I have this mixer and I love it! I urse it all the time. I would love to give one too my best friend who I’m teaching how to bake.
I also love to cook and think red makes me look good while in the kitchen, it detracts from my larger than it should be rear end…a direct result of said cooking.
