Brittany Gibbons is a writer, humorist, and catalyst. Mostly known for her satirical wit and self deprecation, Brittany first gained recognition writing for the popular humor blog, Barefoot Foodie, in which she overshares bits of her life between phonetically spelled sound effects and excessive ellipses. She can also sometimes speak Italian and write her name with her left hand. You see, she’s right handed. So, that’s why that is a big deal.
In 2010, Brittany traded in her author hat for one of media maven, launching Mouth Media, the nationally recognized online magazine Curvy Girl Guide, as well as several other new projects.
Brittany has tackled the reinvention of beauty and body acceptance in a 2011 TED talk. She is also a 2011 BlogHer Humor Voice of the Year, ranked among Babble’s Top Mom Blogs of 2011, SheKnows Top Humor Blogs, one the 50 Most Influential Bloggers Online, as well as #6 on the 2011 List of 50 Mom Bloggers with Klout. Brittany is also the voice of the popular humor podcast, Brittany & Meredith Live, and can be found contributing to the new ABC show, Rebecca Regnier’s Full Plate.
She resides amongst the cornfields of rural Ohio with her husband and three small children. (I know, she totally doesn’t look old enough to have three kids, right?!)
