In seven days I leave for a very long road trip with the family. We rented a van with two tv’s, and my mom just discovered she can read books on her cellular smart phone, so that will leave me completely unbothered, and free to stare out the window and try to find people who look like they’re getting road head, paint my toenails on the dashboard, and listen to whatever music I want.
(Andy doesn’t let me drive because, while I prefer cars to airplanes, I am afraid of roads when there are other people on them, and have been known to drive off them crying when trucks come to close. I’m considering hypnosis, which I assume will be a less deadly option than drinking.)
But, now that I have all this freedom, I’m stumped trying to put together a playlist to get me through the next 1500 miles.

I don’t know about you on road trips, but while at first it does start of super exciting for some reason I get a little meloncholy (spellinggg?) and stare out windows and freak out cars that pass by with my sad looks…anyways…I like to have some mellow songs, and maybe even some rock to wake me up out of the meloncholyness and then head back into the pop songs and get to dancing and backing it up on my seat… So I will give you a few from each of my moods.
#1.) Domino – Jessie J (it’s fun, pop-y and I like to sing along pretening my voice sounds just as awesommeeee.)
#2.) We found Love – Rihanna (again its fun and dancey, so it will get you pumped up)
#3.) Say that you’ll understand – thelastplaceyoulook (this is a houston,tx based band, they are not too well known yet, but one day they will be super famous. its rock, but i love them. and this song has some great lyrics.)
#4.) skyscraper – demi lovato (i havent always been a demi lovato fan. but seriously this song rocks. and i sing to to cody(fiance and also huge fan of yours) so loudly just so he knows how i feel about that song.)

Also, if you get a chance to get away from Disney with the kids a really great place to take them is Blue Springs State Park. It’s about 30-40 minutes north of Orlando, has water that is crystal clear and 68 degrees year round, and (for that reason) is one of the best places in the world to get up close and personal with manatees and a ton of other wildlife this time of year. It was (and is) one of my favorite places in the world. On to the playlist:
