Columbus is kinda close to 100 miles away right? I fit all of the criteria AND am extra tall, which adds a whole ‘nother wrinkle in the clothes shopping experience. I’ve had 3 babies in 5 years and my poor smack and boobs have taken the brunt. I have no idea how dress my new body.
I’m having this baby next month, I know I’ll need new clothes as my maternity clothes are getting boxed away as soon as I can, I’m so sick of feeling frumpy in them!! I love glasses, am plus size and in Ohio!! In between Dayton and Cincinnati, my husband says more than 100 miles :( however I’d be willing to make the trip for some fashion advice!!!

Yes, yes, yes! I’m a 28 year old elementary school teacher and I’m so over my boring teacher-y style! I definitely fit the criteria – wear glasses, have curves, and Detroit is less than 100 miles to Toledo.

I wear glasses and contacts, am 33 years old, and wear clothes that are well beyond a size 14. I live in South Bend so I might be like 32 miles too far away according to google maps, but whatever I gotta at least try. I am DESPERATELY in need of help learning what clothes to buy to accentuate my body in a positive way. I live in a clueless stupor of baggy jeans, huge t-shirts, and comfy sweatpants and stare at other curvy girls dressed to kill thinking how the hell does she do that? I’ve tried to no avail and fashion sense apparently passed me by. Help?

What a timely post – I’m currently having a meltdown because I have to go to a wedding in a few weeks & I have NO IDEA how to dress like a grown up lady. (I’m 40 years old btw which makes me, like, Sally Struthers “Feed the Children” level of sad bastard-dom.)
Anyhoo, I’m a size 18(ish) with difficult to flatter proportions (I’m 5’10” with rudely meager boobs & my father’s thighs), I’ve worn glasses since forever (but the ones I wear don’t really look good on me due to my big Charlie Brown head), and I live in Toledo-proper as we speak (and as far as I can tell there is NOWHERE in Toledo to get decent clothes). Also, I am apparently suffering from parentheses dependency all of the sudden which I’m pretty certain has something to do with the fact that I also cannot ever ever ever find shoes for my size 11 feet that don’t come from a drag queen mail order catalog.
Would definitely be interested…particularly if the shopping involves a designated driver because I hate clothes & they hate me & liquor makes everyone feel better when there’s a 3 way mirror involved. (TRUST.)

Me! I’m in such a fashion rut. Its hard to find flattering clothes, and I usually spend my money in my kiddo first. I have to wear glasses daily and I’m a curvy girl for sure. (I’ve been asked if I’ve had butt implants!) I’d love to participate. And I live about 40 miles from Toledo.
Me!! (With my hand up!!) I wear glasses, a size 14 (or more!!) I have lost some weight to get to this point, and am learning to love myself along the way. I wore a bathing suit for the first time in 20 plus years thanks to Brittany’s first bathing suit appearance. At 40, I am still trying to figure out my style, and what looks good on me (and what really fits- besides a sack like dress.. I really don’t know!!) Ohhhh! Pick me, pick me! I’m a mom of 2 who just finished her bachelor’s degree and am about to hit the big 3-0 at the end of June. I’m a 16/18, which is exceptionally hard to dress, especially at 5’2! I wear glasses and live in Chillicothe, Ohio, which is more than 100 miles, but I’m totally willing to drive and more than open to eclectic style choices :)
I’m very interested! I fluctuate between a 16- 20 and have a hard time finding the right styles! It’s really frustrating to be comfortable in your skin when your pants look like you’ve dropped a load in them.
I always said if I ever won the lottery, I would start my own line for plus size women with stylish clothes – no old frumpy lady clothes, & no teddy bears!

I’m in Columbus Ohio…..totally not a horrible drive from Toledo (My cousins are up there!). I’m 34 (35 in July), recently graduated with my AA (after 21 years of working on it), mother of two (my son has Autism) and a size 14/16….yeah I need help. My style is “non-style” and I hate wearing my glasses because I feel like I’m only cute without them…but I need them to see…so I resort to being not so cute. :-) I could really use some help learning how to fit my curves without feeling like a sausage or a joke. I would love to feel as beautiful and sexy as my husband sees me. :-)
