Saturday we went to a Princess Party. Which, if you are unfamiliar, is the pre-curser to toddler pageants. They go, get purses full of make-up, decorate crowns, eat yummy cookies, and then walk around the room with books on their heads, but Gigi wanted nothing to do with that.
I don’t want to brag, but she was the raddest girl there, and the only one in leg warmers and chucks. We blew out a touch early to spend the afternoon eating cheeseburgers and watching football. She’s the coolest girl I know.
Last week, I did a lot of laying around, because it’s fall, and I like to be immobile and sweat pant clad during the cold months. So, from the comfort of my giant bean bag chair, I wrote about my experience with speaking at TED. Which I should have just vlogged because it is essentially me just waving my arms around all weird and then crying. I made it painfully obvious I have no idea how toilets work. I emptied my cell phone, gave you the perfect cold weather recipe if you are a lazy ass like me, and then realized my parents were selfish assholes.
But most importantly, I was so scared to do this, but I asked for help for my amazing cousin Colie who lost everything in a horrific house fire, and you guys are….fucking amazing. Quilts, clothes, prayers, donations. They have been left with nothing, and I had no idea the outpouring of support that would come from this, and frankly, I am so bad at even articulating how in love I am with you all right now. So thank you. Times infinity.
Last week, my new Live radio show launched, Brittany & Meredith Live, click here for the dirty details. We are on air Mondays at 7:30pm EST, but if you miss it, don’t worry, you can find the episodes here and on iTunes.
I am also featured on BlogHer this week talking about Glee. It was weird, right? It’s like I had been in a coma and missed an entire season, and then woke and everything was awkward? Click here to agree with me, because I totally know you want to.
Lastly, on CGG, I talked about Nancy Upton. Don’t know who she is? YOU NEED TO. Click here to check her out.
Now on to the cool shit I found on the internet this week.
Blue Moon Cupcakes. OMGIKNOWRIGHT!?
The funniest thing I have ever read.
My new journal. Or gournal…get it? Wet Hot American Summer, anyone?
To keep up with everything I love, I suggest joining me on Pinterest, StumbleUpon, Facebook, Google +, and Twitter.
You know what? I think she might be the raddest girl I know too! I’m pretty sure my uterus just clenched in longing for a little girl who rocks a poofy pink skirt with a hoodie, leg warmers & chucks.
She is so adorable! I wish I could pull off that outfit.
I read your BlogHer article about Glee, but didn’t feel like jumping through all the hoops to make a comment. Last season, each new episode of Glee left me hating the characters more and more, but I stayed for the music (and Brittany – I just can’t get enough of her deadpan one-liners!). I didn’t even have a chance to get to the music with the season premiere; my husband and I got maybe ten minutes in and were like, “That’s it – we’re done!” No more Glee for us. What a bunch of assholes.
She. Is. Adorable. Good job, mama.
And I love Glee. I think a lot of people take it a little too seriously.
I cringe as I say this but: I have never watched Glee.
There. It’s out.
But. THAT has got to be one of the hippest little hotties I have seen in a long time! What fun she must be!
Gigi IS the coolest girl (apart from my girls, one of whom sports high-top chucks with “diamond” skull and cross bones on the sides) AND I LOVE LOVE LOVE your stuff. You had me from the moment I first read about your trip to Target after pee-laughing in your jeans and having to change into your “ho-ho-ho” ass-cheek shorts to go in and exchange shoes for your son while Andy waited in the parking lot because he had a “good spot.” I NEVER watch Glee and while I prayed for your family who lost their stuff in the fire, I couldn’t donate more….because I live overseas and have no credit card. (Otherwise, I totally would have sent stuff. I promise.)
I have a lot of “catching up” to do on your busy week. BUT just wanted to say, I think you’re awesome and there’s no way that Gigi will be anything less than that.
ABSOLUTELY gorgeous!!!! You and Andy make some purty babies!!!!!!
