Oooof, my heart.
Zach Sobiech is 17 and he wrote the most beautiful song. He’s also dying of cancer.
Here is a tribute to him.
I cried my contacts out.
You can read Zach’s story here.

Ugly cry at work. Dang. You consistently remind me that we aren’t alone. Thank you.
Thank you!
He was a student of mine and a pretty great kid. His song is a big deal around here. I am surprised it made its way all the way to you!
Zach is a local boy here so we know all about him but I am SO GLAD that he is getting more and more national attention. THANK YOU FOR SHARING!!!
You always find the best stuff. Thank you for sharing….
Now. How to explain why I’ve been crying on my lunch break….
Thank you for sharing this story. Zach and his story is just beautiful in every way possible, and I’ve shared on FB so it can reach more people.
But after viewing the documentary as well, ummm, yeah….thanks NOT for the headache, pouring snot and uncontrollable tears this morning. Thankfully I am wearing my glasses so I can’t lose my contacts from crying them out.
There ARE good people still out there…Im convinced of that.
thank you for making sure this continues to be seen.
Beautiful song. Sad song. Too many tears to type more.
They have been playing that song for the past several months here in Minnesota (where he is from). Glad to know it has really gotten out there.
Thank you for sharing. The minute I saw his parents, I boo-hoo’d. Not sure which sounds escaping from my office are more embarrassing – laughter or crying. My co-workers must think I’m deeply moved by number-crunching.
So sad, yet so beautiful Thank you for sharing it.
Zach Sobiech died early this morning. So sad. He was only 18.
