Well, it’s the middle of November and it’s snowing.

And with snow comes a slew of things you just can’t comfortably do in Ohio, anymore.

Mowing is rough.

Washing your cars blows.

Frozen margaritas could stand to be less of an ice cream headache.

Oh, and grilling sucks.

I know there are die hards, and don’t even come for me, y’all.

If the options are 1. put pants on to eat steak, or 2. just not put pants on but still eat steak, I’m gonna go with the second one.

That’s right, it’s air fryer steak time.

Alright, it’s indoor kid steak and mushroom time.

As I mentioned in previous posts, this is where having two air fryers pays off. I use my smaller ninja for steaks, because I dig the crisp edges it gives meats. And I dump all my sides in my larger Power AirFryer XL, making this whole process super quick.

As you may have noticed, I like putting things in bags and shaking them. It’s sorta my thing.

Mushrooms are no exception, and the best thing to shake some steak mushrooms and onions with is Cavender’s All Purpose Greek Seasoning.

I mean, you could use salt and pepper, but you’re already using it to season your steak, so branch the hell out guys, let’s put some different flavors in our mouths.

Halve your mushrooms, slice your onions, and then coat in olive oil and Cavender’s, seal the bag, shake shake shake.

Let this sit on your counter for at least 20 minutes, and then toss it in your air fryer at 400 degrees, for 12 minutes, shaking every few minutes as needed.

Boom. Perfectly roasted mushrooms and onions to top your steak with, no gross soggy veggies and liquid.

Season your steaks generously with salt and pepper. Always. As a life rule.

Also rub in some olive oil, because that is going to be what helps crisp this baby up, giving it a real nice and salty crust, especially the fat pieces.

Into the air fryer at 400 degrees for 4 minutes, then flip and cook another 4 minutes.

This is going to give you a medium steak. If you want it more done, increase the time by a minute or two, but I honestly don’t understand how anybody eats a steak cooked above medium.

And don’t get me started on the ketchup dippers.

And this is how you have the perfect mid-summer steak from the comfort of your living room while it’s snowing in November.
