Everywhere I went, I was asked the same question. Sooo… what is this book is about? And then I give a perfectly wonderful answer about it being a funny memoir of my life as a fat girl and then growing up and being something great.
But the truth is, the book is more about what I can’t say on national television.
Family tragedy, lesbianism, love, failing out of college, fumbling through sex, homeslessness, pee your pants hilarity, and finally, loving the absolute fuck out of yourself. If this sounds like your kind of book, Fat Girl Walking is for you.
I’d like to think of it as the Fat Girl Bible – no – a Women’s Bible. Move over, Bible, we’re coming to a moderately priced hotel room drawer near you.
I would love for you to buy this book today. And then, I’d love you to buy it for all of your friends because they are amazing and deserve to know just how gorgeous and strong they are. Not many things remind us of that these days, and I’m all over it.
Plus, how awesome would it be to see this fat girl killing it on the New York Times Best Sellers list? (Answer: Life goals.)
Here is a round up of the various press spots I did this week, you know, in case you missed it because you are like me and your DVR is too full of Shark Tanks and Bob’s Burgers to record anything new.
(Coming soon: Steve Harvey and NPR’s To The Best of Our Knowledge, Dr. Oz and The Insider)
