Without fail, this always happens to me. I fall in love with something, and then it goes away. Parks and Rec, the Taco Light from Taco Bell (it was a 90’s thing. It was amazing), and my local Tastefully Simple representative.

Guys, this is why I don’t get involved. It’s why I decline every invitation to every home party. It only leads to heartbreak and inconvenience.

Against my better judgement, I attended a Tastefully Simple party, fell in love with the Beer Bread, and well, the rest is history. I spent a few years ordering online and buddying up with sales reps while they lasted, but it was always a pain in the ass when I’d need an appetizer for a last minute party and not have access to the goods. The goods being, TS Beer Bread mix and my go-to side, Garlic Garlic dip.

Thankfully, a creative friend slipped me a couple dead-on copycat recipes, and I’m back to being the yummiest girl at every holiday and event, and you can be, too!

TS Beer Bread

Ingredients:

3 Cups Self Rising Flour
1/2 Cup Sugar
1 Bottle of Beer (Use the beer you drink, there really is no wrong answer. I use Blue Moon or Stella)
Half a stick of Butter

1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.

2. Mix the flour, sugar and beer together, then pour into a greased bread pan.

3. Bake for 50 minutes, then remove, coat entire top with half a stick of melted butter, then pop back into the oven for 10-15 more minutes.

4. Remove and let cool before slicing.

There is no better topper than a big bowl of Tastefully Simple Garlic Garlic dip. The sweetness of the bread goes perfectly with the tart cold garlic. I’ve found The Sustainable Couple to have the best dry ingredient round up for this dip, which I make in bulk and store in a Tupperware container with my spices. That way, should I need to whip up the dip, all the hard work is done, and I just add a few scoops to my wet ingredients.

Garlic Garlic Dip Mix

Ingredients:

4 Tablespoon minced garlic
1 Tablespoon minced onion
1 teaspoon sea salt
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon dried chives
1/2 teaspoon dried dill
1/4 teaspoon dried basil

Mix all these dry ingredients together and store in an air tight container.

Garlic Garlic Dip

Ingredients:

2 Tablespoons Garlic Garlic Mix
1/2 Cup Mayo
1/2 Cup Sour Cream

Mix all ingredients together and then refrigerate at least an hour for best results. (I often double this recipe for parties, the more dip the better!)
