You probably saw the viral video featuring then-teenager, Zach Wahls as he spoke in 2011 at the Iowa House of Representatives or maybe you saw him on The Ellen Show. Speaking in front of the Iowa house in 2011, Zach bravely told his story of having two moms and how they raised him and his sister to stand up for the rights of everyone.

You are telling Iowans, “Some among you are second-class citizens who do not have the right to marry the person you love.” So will this vote affect my family? Would it affect yours? -Zach Wahls

Zach Wahls was on last night’s The Daily Show with Jon Stewart talking about the memoir, My Two Moms: Lessons of Love, Strength, and What Makes a Family, he released, and seeing the care and maturity in this kid (Yes, kid. He’s only 20. SHEESH.) is truly amazing.

Zach Wahls

At 20 years old, Zach Wahls is already more composed and generous with his heart than most well-lived people alive.
