Top 10 Gifts For The Beauty Product Obsessed

in Lifestyle, Style & Beauty

I love this time of year. The smell of pine in the air, the crackling sound of a warm fire, the twinkle of Christmas lights, the taste of fudge and cookies. It makes me all warm and tingly inside.

You know what else makes me tingly (besides Chris Pine)? It’s when all the major makeup brands roll out their holiday palettes. If there is one thing I love more than makeup, it’s a bunch of makeup all sold as a set at a discounted price. Please, Santa, count me in.

Lucky for you, I’ve scoured the aisles of Sephora and Ulta and put together a gift guide for the beauty products obsessed. Are you overwhelmed when you walk into Sephora? Does the idea of picking out a gift that your super trendy BFF will love stress you out? Do you have a teen at home that loves black eyeliner and glitter? Well, worry no more because Andrea has your back! I have so kindly swatched each and every one of the sets I’m mentioning in this guide. Whether you add it to your list or purchase it for someone else, you simply can’t go wrong.

Tarte Carried Away Collector’s Set

This value set is packed with products, and would make a wonderful gift for someone who wants to try new color combinations. Tarte’s Carried Away Collector’s Set contains six eyeshadow quads (a total of 24 shadows), blush, finishing powder, 8 lip glosses, mascara, and a brush. It comes packed in a stylish travel case. I own this set, and I am very pleased with it. I absolutely love Tarte products. The shadows are pigmented and perfectly blendable. Tarte blushes are my favorite – they truly do last the advertised 12 hours. The lip glosses provide a pop of color without being sticky. This set is $54 and if purchased separately would total over $500!

Too Faced Sweet Indulgence Palette

The Too Faced Sweet Indulgence ($52) is another palette that made its way onto my Christmas list. (Actually, husband, if you are reading this I sort of already purchased it for myself. Thanks babe!) I’m a huge fan of Too Faced’s shadows and lipsticks, and this set allowed me to sample some of the other products that the brand offers. It comes in the cutest pink tin (that can be reused and repurposed) and contains 16 eyeshadows, two bronzers, two blushes, one highlighter, a full sized eye primer, and a double ended shadow brush. This palette would be great for travel – all you need is some powder and gloss and you are set!

LORAC Eye Candy Full Face Collection

LORAC is another brand I absolutely love and I was super excited about this set. The LORAC Eye Candy Full Face Collection contains four eyeshadow palettes (each consisting of four coordinating shadows), one cream liner palette, and one lip & cheek tint palette. You get 16 full size eye shadows, four liners, two lip colors, and two cheek colors. LORAC’s shadows are so creamy and blendable and the shades are varied yet are still wearable. This set is $57 – purchased separately you would pay $360 for these products. Can’t beat that!

Benefit Cosmetics High Flying Glosses

I’ve picked this set of glosses up every time I’ve been in Ulta or Sephora for the past few weeks, and I finally broke down and purchased it as a treat to myself. The High Flying Glosses ($26) are meant to be companions to Benefit’s popular blushes of the same names. They provide a pop of color and feel wonderfully moisturizing on your lips! I’ve already purchased this set for one of my girlfriends.
