We Curvy Girls like men (and women) in all shapes and sizes, so when celebrities decide to completely change their bodies for a role, we take notice. Whether it’s to gain weight to seem more likable or build up muscles to look more barbarian, we tend to like our celebrities looking more “human” than not.
When Rob McElhenney from “It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia” gains 50 pounds, it’s to add humor* to his show.

When Demi Moore buffs up for a role in the military, she’s hardcore.

When Jonah Hill loses the the weight equivalent of a large child, he’s looking towards the future of romantic lead roles.

When Renee Zellwegger gains 20 pounds for her role in Bridget Jones’ Diary, she’s makes her character “endearing and utterly real.”**

How do you like your celebrities?

I just rewatched parts of Bridget Jones Diary a few weeks ago, and I was struck, again, by how much healthier Renee Zellwegger looked in the movie as opposed to how she looked once the extra weight was gone. Her natural size might be that small, but little ‘extra’ flesh looks good on her, I think.
