There are just a few days left before St. Patrick’s Day, a popular holiday for feasting with friends and family. For many it’s the perfect excuse to throw back a pint or two, and for others, it’s the perfect excuse to whip up a feast good enough to make everyone green with envy.
We’ve pulled together a menu to make your holiday one to remember, whether you tackle an easy treat or the whole shebang from sunrise to sunset.
To start things off, a nod to the traditional favorite, because a round-up like this wouldn’t be
complete without the famous corned beef and cabbage. And here’s a little trivia to impress your St. Patty’s pals: the original color associated with St. Patrick was blue! It’s hard to imagine a celebration without the omnipresent green!

How about you? How will you celebrate this St. Patrick’s Day?

We’ll be doing the Irish Soda Bread (we make ours with raisins and caraway seeds) and Shepard’s pie this year. This is one of my favorite holidays. Both sides of my family are Irish so I always feel like I’m celebrating my family!
I’ll take one of each, please.
I was going to engage in some psuedo-Irish frivolity, but one of my best friends just had her baby, so we’re going to meet her on Saturday! I’m going to make a loaf of that bread to take with us. Girlfriends, babies and carb fest! Oh yeah!
I am going to celebrate by running the Shamrock Run in your new city! Then I will eat a HUGE corned beef sandwich! Yum!
We shared this post on our FB page! All those yummy green delights! How could we possibly resist?
