You know the story by now: Hipster/Sometimes-controversial/Every-time-I-walk-by-I-look-for-the-shirtless-male-model-inside-the-door/Can’t-fit-a-stroller-through-the-store Abercrombie & Fitch has been outed as asking Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino and the rest of the greased up Jersey Shore to stop wearing A&F clothing.

Oh yes, we know this is a publicity stunt. They have even us talking about them and linking to their store.

We’re on to you, A&F. But whether or not this was a publicity stunt, it’s hurting your stock. As of Thursday morning, ANF was down over 5% after taking a sharp drop immediately following the company’s statement Wednesday.

Ok, well I’m the first to admit that the stock drop PROBABLY has more to do with investing reports released this week & the recent stock market volatility BUT……I’d like to think this PR nonsense has *something* to do with it.
