It’s almost back to school, you guys. I know, I know, I am excited about the uninterrupted hours of silence, too. No more fighting or crying or complaining of boredom.
But before we get to those moments of nirvana a school day provides, we have to prepare by way of supply lists and back to school fashion, because if your kids are anything like mine, they’ve grown somewhere between three and four hundred feet over the past 3 months, and nothing fits.
I was able to partner with Lands’ End to show off four fantastic Back To School looks on ABC’s lifestyle show, Full Plate, hosted by our fabulous CGG Contributor, Rebecca Regnier, and not only am I set to buy absolutely everything, I wanted to share all the hot looks and trends with you, as well!
This is my daughter, Gigi, and she’s off to pre-school this year, and could not be more excited! This fall is all about color, and from her drop waist dress to suede pink moccasins, she’s basically in fashion heaven. Don’t forget her My First Backpack, which is the perfect size for her pre-school essentials, but also comes with it’s very own matching UGLYDOLL.
Knit Woven Drop Waist Dress, $35
Navy Microfiber Tights, $10
Isi Moccasin Booties, $49
My First Backpack, $29
My son, Wyatt, is off to kindergarten this year, and he’s anxious to move from little kid pre-school to full day classes. He’s rocking all the right trends this season, from great color, awesome layers, and even some high tech fashion technology. His military cargo pants actually feature Lands’ End’s latest parental pleaser, the Iron Knee, which is an invisible polyester patch on the inside of the pant, keeping that knee reinforced and hole free (and me not buying pants ever four seconds).
Long Sleeve Rugby Hoodie, $35
Garnet Long Sleeve Mesh Polo, $25
Iron Knee Military Cargos, $45
Landry High Top Sneakers, $59
ClassMates Small Backpack, $18
Veronica is a dancer that is excited about going into 6th grade this year! In following with the hottest trends this fall, she is all about hip layers and the pops of color, and all about those boots…ok, I might want a pair for myself also, because oh my God they are amazing! Her skirt has an adjustable waist, perfect for growth spurts, and Lands’ End even features some girl’s clothing in plus! Yeah, we’re big huge fans!
Elephant Graphic T-shirt, $25
Fair Isle Long Cardigan Sweater, $55
Ruffle Hem Cord Skort, $35
Sahara Desert Microfiber Tights, $10
Molly Riding Boots, $69
ClassMates Medium Backpack, $29
Gabe is going into high school, and he lives for soccer, so while fashion may be on the back burner for him, his mom was ultra-excited about the cute outfits and durable pieces (and I think even Gabe was, too!) Rich colors and great layers are effortless, and make it easy for him to adjust his look throughout the day, depending on whether he’s sitting in study hall, or outside with his buddies.
Long Sleeve Stripe Super Tee, $17
Navy Long Sleeve Mesh Polo, $25
Down Vest, $49
Iron Knee Jeans, $35
Men’s Alpine Trekker Boot, $33
ClassMate Messenger Bag, $29

These outfits come to us courtesy Lands’ End, I was not compensated to give positive commentary, and these opinions are my own.

These are really cute, but when I saw “back to school”, I assumed “first day of school” and was super confused to see such warm outfits! Either you live in the arctic north or your kids won’t be wearing these ones for a while lol.
I agree, it’s a touch warm as we finish up summer, but the Back to School lines are typically their fall lines.
On the plus side, at least up here in Ohio, this is what’s in all our stores, but all the warm weather clothes are on a super markdown clearance, so that means some good deals:)
Had to laugh at “up here” in Ohio, I’m only in Maryland! It’s just been the hottest summer EVER and I can’t see an end in sight!
Another great thing about Land’s End is that you can return anything you buy online to any Sears or Kmart, so if you buy something and it doesn’t fit, you don’t have to pay for return shipping.
Also, they have a lifetime guarantee on all their products so if the pants do get holes or the shoes wear out you can return them for a full refund anytime.
I know their prices are a little high (at least to me, especially for kids clothes) but you get great quality. Also, if you check out their clearance section and overstocks, you can find some great deals!
Just have to echo what you wrote, Amy… love the returns to Sears. And I’ve also found some fantastic deals in their clearance section (plus combined with promo codes to save even more money and get free shipping!). My daughter loves their leggings and my son loves their cargo pants. So I stalk their web site on occasion to see what’s on sale.
OMG I’d totally wear Gigi’s outfit. I LOVE that skirt. I might forego the tights, though. They never fail at making my legs look stubby.
