Pinterest has become the proverbial Holy Grail of inspiration for anyone who wants to decorate, laugh, build, get crafty, or cook. It’s as fun to search as it is to pin to, and can turn the least creative person (like me) into a DIY pro. It’s no surprise that the site has turned into the very first option for so many who want to cook, whether for themselves, their families, or an entire party. Here are ten food and drink boards on Pinterest (besides, you know, our own) that we absolutely love to browse and get ideas from.
1. Food Network
If you want to talk about food porn, this is it. I’m five months pregnant, and I could spend most of my waking hours browsing board after board, looking for my ultimate craving stopper. Food Network has everything on this account: seasonal recipes, drink recipes, grillers, breakfasts, healthy food, party food…the list goes on. It’s like the ultimate cookbook; you can find anything here!
2. Stephanie Stiavetti: Gorgeous Food
These are the kinds of recipes that I would never trust myself to make, but WOW are they pretty to look at! Huge kudos to anyone who can successfully execute these recipes.
3. Sara Westhead: Lunchbox Foods
This is another eye candy board, but this one is specially designed for elementary-age kids. I love these simple ideas, both to make with your kids and for your kids. Lots of the ideas are very nutritious, too!
4. Whole Foods Market: Sweet Tooth
Everything from simple chocolate pudding to step-by-step instructions on how to make Pavlova, if you have a sweet tooth, you can find something to satisfy it on this board.
5. How Does She: Food That’s Healthy
If you’re trying to eat healthier, getting your kids hooked on treats that are actually good for them, or just want to work with some raw ingredients, this board is for you. These smoothies make my mouth water just looking at them!
6. debi9kids: Recipes for the Frugal Mama
In my house, we are all about saving money wherever we can. This board is full of inexpensive, easy-to-make ideas that will please the whole family.
7. Catherine Wherthey: Food (Appetizers & Sides)
I love having lots of little bite-sized, finger foods to choose from; I get more excited for parties and showers where hors d’oeuvres are served than for full dinner parties. Basically, I get high on having lots of little food options, which is why I love this board. I want to host an appetizer party and just go hog wild on these recipes.
8. Julie DeVisser: I Dream of Drinks
I may not be able to drink right now (or for the next twenty weeks), but that certainly doesn’t stop me from ogling these drinks and fantasizing about the taste. I love colorful, fruity drinks that I can walk around with and just sip on, and these fit the bill perfectly; they’re just as lovely to look at as (I assume) they are to taste.
9. Sriracha Cookbook: Sriracha Recipes
If you haven’t tried the hot sauce Sriracha yet, you’re missing out. What Nutella is to your sweet tooth, Sriracha will be to your spicy one. I can never get enough spicy food, and I will even put this stuff on my macaroni and cheese. NOMS.
10. The Kitchn: Breakfast with a Blogger
Besides hors d’oeuvres, breakfast food is my other obsession. Whether it’s savory, sweet, or both, I just love breakfast food. These recipes cover an incredible variety of food for the most important meal of the day.
