Well, here’s something unexpected. I saw this picture of Sarah Jessica Parker and thought…
You know what… I’m sorta digging those high top wedge sneakers.
Um, what now?
I know, I’m just as surprised as you are, but I kinda like them. So when I came across them at Target the other day, I was like, BOGO bags of Australian Licorice say what?
Fucking love them. They are so crazy comfortable, and now I need them in every color.
High Top Wedge: Target $34.99
Jeans: Rockstar Skinny Jeans, Authentic, size 16, Old Navy $19.00
Bag: Belle, Epiphanie $164.99
Won’t let me wear high tops like Punky Brewster, mom? Fine. I’ll do it myself.
I have always been intrigued by them…they are comfy you say?
Crazy comfy. They take everything I hate about wearing sneakers (feeling wide, short and flat on my feet) and take that away. So it’s like a sneaker with a small lift.
I think I’ll have to at least try them on next time I see them. I really just pictured them being seriously uncomfortable.
Might have to get them a try….looking for Summer style with Winter Uggs comfort. This might just be the thing….
Cute shoes, but since I’m unable to wear heels, I’m gonna have to comment on your bag instead…..
Ahhhhh, you have an Epiphanie bag!!!! Love love love mine, and am keeping an eye on another one…or two….or three. Best camera bag/purses evahhh!
Whoa. I didn’t even know this was possible. I might need to go try some on.
The Bag caught my eye..immediately! Gorgeous! I am a “Coach” girl…but should definately expland my handbag horizons! Love the Turq..and need a bag that color! (Years ago I was a D&B handbag lover…now I see them up in my closet and I shudder!–anyone else feel that way abut a brand, ect?)
oh wow!! you are brave to purchase a pair! I was always weary of how to make them look good and if they are comfy!!
Love the fashion posts!
I gotta disagree on this one. Not a fan. To each their own though!
Where did you get the yellow necklace at?! Love it all!!
Target!
I have bright orange Nike wedges. I LOVE THEM!!!! so comfy and great with my boot cut jeans. They look like regular sneakers…but on a much smaller foot until I lift the leg of my jeans up and show everybody that they’re wedges.
Girl, I love you more than I love cake, and you just rock out with your high-top wedges like the hottie Fly Girl that you are…..BUT – (and it kills me!) I have to disagree with you on this one. Every time I see a pair of these I get irrationally upset. I hate them like some people hate brussels sprouts. Or Joffery from Game of Thrones. I feel like this trend (much like MC Hammer pants, slouch socks and spiral perms) is something we’re all gonna look back on in 10-15 years and shake our heads at the ridiculousness of it all…Still <3 you tons though! Hope you still want to be BFF's (in my head we're totes BFF's…in a completely non-creepy, non-stalkerish sort of way…)
Dude, these may very well be the hypercolor shirts of the 2013’s….. but they’re fun to play with!
BFFs? STILL ON!
*Sigh of relief* So glad we’re still friends – I was stressed out all night! ;-)
Those are so cute. I don’t think I could pull them off though.
Brittany, I was wondering do you use it as a regular bag or
do you use it as a camera bag. I have a camera that I needed
a bag for and wanted to know if it would work as a handbag, also?
Well, kinda both. I usually ALWAYS have my camera on me, so I find myself using this bag A LOT. It’s also what I always bring on planes, because I don’t back my camera or my netbook, and I fit them both in there.
But, I also use it when I want a pop of color, without my camera.
So yes, it works both ways, but the price is because it’s a camera bag.
Remember in the mid ’90’s when those sneakers with the heels were soooo popular?! Candies brand … I think? I remember I had a pair in ’95 and all the popular girls at my high school were super jealous. Shoes were really important when you went to a catholic uniform wearing high school. Thinking back, those shoes were super ugly – and to me … I don’t know … the wedges still kind of remind me of chunky healed sneakers – and high school, apparently.
Wow, they look fabulous on you! Cute & comfortable — love it!
(P.S. So happy to have found your blog!! :)
