Do you think these labels are harming women?
Verdict: I actually don’t think they are harmful. I think it’s a great baseline to learn about shapes and proportions. Does it suck when it’s just another facet of fashion that women feel like they don’t into? Of course. But for me, it’s all about education. Taking the time (as much as it blows) to try on clothes and see what shapes work and what don’t, that is key. These labels loosely help.
Sure would be nice if they started cutting plus size clothes to shapes other than… generic plus size.
